Commander Cory Blaser, U.S. Navy, is a native of Greenville, SC. He graduated from The Citadel in 1995 with a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry. He also holds a Master of Science in National Security Strategy from the National War College, Washington D.C.

Commander Blaser’s sea tours include Navigator in USS STEPHEN W. GROVES (FFG 29), Combat Information Center Officer in USS CARNEY (DDG 64), Weapons Control Officer and Combat Systems Officer in USS PORTER (DDG 78) and Executive Officer in USS DOYLE (FFG 39).

Ashore, he has served as an officer recruiter in his home state of South Carolina, and was assigned to the combined U.S SIXTH FLEET and Commander, Navy Europe staff, where he served as an Action Officer and Flag Secretary.

His personal awards include the Joint Service Commendation Medal, Navy Commendation Medal (three awards), Navy Achievement Medal (two awards), and various unit citations and campaign awards.
