LCDR Chris Dickerson Executive Officer

Lieutenant Commander Dickerson is from Scio, Ohio and enlisted in the Navy in 1991. After completing nuclear power training as an electronics technician, he was selected for the Nuclear Enlisted Commissioning Program.
In 1997, Lieutenant Commander Dickerson attended Officer Candidate School and was commissioned as a Surface Warfare Officer. His first division officer assignment was in USS HAYLER (DD 997) where he served as the gunnery officer and legal officer, deploying in support of Operation DESERT FOX. After completing the nuclear officer training pipeline, he served his second division officer tour aboard the USS THEODORE ROOSEVELT (CVN 71) as the M-2 Division Officer. During this tour he deployed in support of Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF) and Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF).
Following a shore assignment as an instructor at Naval Nuclear Power School, he served aboard the USS CHAFEE (DDG 90) as the Operations Officer, deploying in support of Anti-Piracy operations, OEF, and OIF in 2007. His second department head tour was as the Main Propulsion Assistant in USS JOHN C. STENNIS (CVN 74) where he deployed in support of 7th fleet operations. His most recent assignment was on the Naval Surface Warfare Center Commander's staff in Washington D.C.
Lieutenant Commander Dickerson earned a Bachelor of Science in Materials Engineering from Auburn University in 1997, and a Masters Degree in Engineering Management from Old Dominion University in 2003.
His Personal awards include the Meritorious Service Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medals, Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medals, and various unit and service awards.
