Commander William G. Musser
CDR Grady Musser graduated from U.S. Naval Academy with the class of 1996. His first sea assignment was aboard USS WASP (LHD-1) as the Main Propulsion Division Officer and the Engineering Training Officer. CDR Musser served his second division officer tour aboard the USS MCFAUL (DDG-74) as the Fire Control Officer. As a department head, CDR Musser served as the Weapons Officer and Combat Systems Officer aboard the USS CARNEY (DDG-64).
CDR Musser’s shore tours have included serving on the OPNAV staff in the Surface Warfare Directorate as the Standard Missile Requirements Officer and as the executive assistant to the Deputy Director for Surface Systems and Weapons (N86F). CDR Musser served on the personal staff of the Chief of Naval Operations in the Strategic Action Group (N00Z). CDR Musser completed a joint tour at the US Pacific Command serving as the Data Fusion / BMD Integration officer and as the executive assistant to the Director of Operations (J-3).
CDR Musser graduated with distinction from the Naval Postgraduate School with a Masters degree in National Security Affairs. His awards include the Meritorious Service Medal, the Navy Commendation Medal, the Navy Achievement Medal and a variety of unit and campaign awards.
