CMDCM (SW) Michael Andreen
Command Master Chief
CMDCM Michael Andreen is originally from Thermopolis, WY. He attended Hot Springs County High School and upon graduation, he reported for Navy Boot Camp at RTC Orlando, FL (C172) in July 1986. Upon completion of Boot Camp, he attended Storekeeper “A” School in Meridian, MS.
After completing SK “A” school, CMDCM Andreen was stationed at Commander, Naval Reserve Readiness Command Region 22 in Seattle, WA where he was promoted to PO3. He was then transferred to Naval Reserve Center, Augusta, ME and promoted to PO2. CMDCM Andreen transferred to the USS Duncan (FFG-10) where he earned his ESWS pin. He then transferred to the USS Wadsworth (FFG-9). CMDCM Andreen then transferred to the Naval Reserve Center, Everett, WA where he was promoted to PO1. After being transferred to 3rd Naval Construction Brigade in Port Hueneme, CA, he was promoted to Chief Petty Officer and terminated shore duty and transferred back to the USS Wadsworth (FFG-9). After the decommissioning of the USS Wadsworth in June 2002, CMDCM Andreen transferred to the USS R.M. Davis (FFG-60) in Everett, WA where he was promoted to SCPO. He then transferred to Naval Reserve Readiness Command Northeast, in Newport, RI.
In October 2006, CMDCM Andreen volunteered for a 430 day IA in Khost, Afghanistan and when he returned from Afghanistan in December 2007, he transferred to Commander, Navy Reserve Forces Command in Norfolk, VA where he was promoted to Master Chief Petty Officer. Upon selection to the Command Master Chief Program, CMDCM Andreen transferred to the Navy Operational Support Center, Los Angeles, CA in January 2011.
CMDCM Andreen graduated from Columbia College, Senior Enlisted Academy (Class 123) and the CMC/COB Course (Class 82). His awards and decorations include the Meritorious Service Medal (two awards), Navy Commendation Medal (six awards), Navy Achievement Medal (five awards), and various unit, service, and campaign awards.
