CDR Haskins reported to the United States Naval Academy in July 1994, where she received a Bachelor’s of Science degree in History. Upon commissioning in 1998, she attended Naval Flight School in Pensacola, Florida until January 2000 when she re-designated to Surface Warfare Officer.

She most recently served as Executive Officer in USS LEYTE GULF (CG 55) from March 2013 to September 2014. Previous sea duty assignments include Commanding Officer, Patrol Coastal Crew ECHO from April 2008 through June 2009; Chief Engineer onboard USS RODNEY M. DAVIS (FFG 60) from May 2006 to October 2007; and Main Propulsion Division Officer, Damage Control Assistant and Information Systems Officer onboard USS THE SULLIVANS (DDG 68) from April 2000 through June 2003.

Her previous shore duty assignments include serving as an instructor at Surface Warfare Officer School, Senior Officer Ships Material Readiness Course (SOSMRC); attendance of the U.S. Naval War College where she received a Masters of Arts in National Security and Strategic Studies and was a member of the Gravely Naval Warfare Research Group; Flag Secretary to Commander, Naval Special Warfare Command in Coronado, CA from July 2009 to September 2010; Navy representative to Armed Forces Entertainment where she was a Resource Manager and Southwest Asia Circuit Entertainment Manager from July 2003 to August 2005.

Her personal awards include a Navy Meritorious Service Medal, two awards; Navy Commendation Medal, four awards; and Navy Achievement Medal, two awards.
