Master Chief Arbuckle was born in Long Beach, California and graduated from High School in Newcastle, Oklahoma. In February 1988, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy and attended boot camp in Great Lakes, IL.

After completing recruit training he attended Operations Specialist “A” School in Dam Neck, VA and graduated in August 1988. His first assignment was in USS TRUXTUN (CGN-35) at Naval Station San Diego, CA. Follow-on assignments include TACTRAGRUPAC, Point Loma, CA, USS KITTY HAWK (CV-63) in Yokosuka, Japan, Afloat Training Group Pacific in San Diego, CA, where he was selected for Chief Petty Officer in 2001. His next assignment was in USS JOHN C. STENNIS (CVN-74) at North Island Naval Air Station, CA where he was selected for Senior Chief Petty Officer in 2004. The Center For Personal and Professional Development at Dam Neck, VA, Senior Enlisted Advisor at Training Support Center, Hampton Roads, VA, Operations Department LCPO in USS NASSAU (LHA-4), Norfolk, VA, Command Senior Chief onboard USS HAWES (FFG-53), Command Master Chief in USS NICHOLAS (FFG-47).and his current assignment as Command Master Chief in USS NITZE (DDG-94).

He attended the Senior Enlisted Academy in Newport, RI in January 2006, class 122 (Gold) and was selected into the Command Senior Chief program in January of 2008. He graduated from the CMC/COB course in February 2009, class 56 and was selected for Master Chief Petty Officer in May 2011.

Master Chief Arbuckle’s personal awards include the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal, five awards, Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal, five awards, the Navy Good Conduct Medal, seven awards, 11 sea service deployment ribbons and numerous unit, service and campaign medals and ribbons.
