CMDCM (SW/PJ/DV) Ronald Shasky
Command Master Chief
Master Chief Shasky was born and raised in Mansfield, Ohio, graduate of Madison Comprehensive High School and entered the U. S. Navy in August 1999.
He completed Engineman "A" and "C" School in Naval Training Center, Great Lakes, IL and then reported to his first duty assignment USS SAMUEL B. ROBERTS (FFG-58).
In February 2001, he reported to PCU BULKELEY where he was advanced to Petty Officer Second Class. In August 2003, he reported to Center for Naval Leadership, Little Creek, Virginia where he was advanced to Petty Officer First Class and Chief Petty Officer and then transferred to USS WHIDBEY ISLAND (LSD-41) in February 2008, where he was advanced to Senior Chief Petty Officer in July 2010. He transferred to Headquarters, Center for Personal and Professional Development where he was selected to the Command Senior Chief Program in February 2013. Master Chief Shasky reported to MCM Crew Constant in February 2014 and was advanced to Master Chief Petty Officer in May 2014 where he served as the Command Master Chief for both USS ARDENT(MCM-12) and USS SENTRY(MCM-3). He reported to and currently serves as the Command Master Chief for USS MASON (DDG-87) homeported in Norfolk, Virginia in August 2015.
Master Chief Shaskys' academic achievements include a Bachelors of Science in Liberal Studies from Excelsior College, Senior Enlisted Joint Professional Military Education and Senior Enlisted Professional Military Education. He is a graduate of the Senior Enlisted Academy Class #137(Brown) where he was selected as both the Distinguished Honor Graduate and the Peter Tomich Award for exceptional military excellence. He is also a graduate of the CMC/COB Capstone Course Class #125.
Master Chief Shaskys' personal awards include the Joint Service Commendation Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (6 awards), Army Commendation Medal (2 awards), Navy And Marine Corps Achievement Medal (2 awards), Army Achievement Medal (4 awards) and various campaign and unit awards.
