Commander Christine O'Connell Executive Officer

A native of Houston, Texas, Commander O'Connell graduated from the U.S Naval Academy in 1996 with a Bachelor of Science in Systems Engineering.
Her assignments at sea include Main Propulsion Assistant in USS WILLAMETTE (AO 180), Assistant Operations Officer in USS OSCAR AUSTIN (DDG 79), and Combat Systems Officer in USS PAUL HAMILTON (DDG 60).
Ashore, she served as the Enlisted Programs Officer for Navy Recruiting District Montgomery, Alabama; Flag Protocol for the Commander, U.S. Pacific Command; and Surface Warfare Junior Officer Sea/Shore Coordinaror (PERS-412B) for Navy Personnel Command. She holds a Master of Political Science from Auburn University Montgomery.
Her personal awards include the Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Navy Commendation Medal with four gold stars, and Navy Achievement Medal with two gold stars.
