CMDCM (AW/NAC) Glenn P. Plower
Command Master Chief
Master Chief Plower is a native of Lindenhurst, New York. He graduated from Charlotte High School in 1995 and enlisted in the United States Navy in 1996.
After initial training he reported to his first Command, VP-10 home ported in Brunswick, Maine. During this tour he completed three deployments, earned his EAWS and was advanced to Second Class Petty Officer.
In 2003, he reported to Patrol Squadron THIRTY, Jacksonville, FL and was assigned as an Acoustic Instructor, Fleet NATOPS Evaluator, Weapons and Tactics Instructor (WTI) and Weapons and Tactics Unit Leading Petty Officer.
He reported to PATRECONGRUFSU FIVE in 2006 and served as Command Senior Enlisted Leader, Training Department Leading Chief Petty Officer, Training Department Leading Petty Officer and Sensor Operator. During this tour he completed numerous detachments to both FIFTH and SEVENTH Fleet AORs and was advanced to both Chief and Senior Chief Petty Officer.
In 2012, he reported to Patrol Squadron THIRTY and served as P-8A Training Department and Operations Department Leading Chief Petty Officer.
In 2015 he transferred to Patrol Squadron TEN and served as Senior Aircrewman, Training Department Leading Chief Petty Officer and Operations Department Leading Chief Petty Officer. During this tour he was advanced to Master Chief Petty Officer and selected to the Command Master Chief Program.
Master Chief Plower is a graduate of the United States Navy Senior Enlisted Academy, Class 169 (Khaki) and CMC/COB Class 159. He holds a Bachelor’s of Science in Education from Southern Illinois University. His personal decorations include Air Medal (four awards) Navy Commendation Medal (four awards), Navy Achievement Medal (four awards) and various other personal and unit awards.
