Commander Craig M. Trent
CDR Craig Trent was commissioned in 2000 from the U. S. Naval Academy with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics.
At sea, CDR Trent served as Strike Officer in USS Stethem (DDG63); Reactor Mechanical Division Officer in USS George Washington (CVN 73); Operations Officer in USS Chung-Hoon (DDG 93); and Reactor Training Assistant in USS Abraham Lincoln (CVN 72). He has deployed to FIFTH, SIXTH, and SEVENTH Fleet areas of responsibility.
Ashore, CDR Trent served at Naval Reactors as Aircraft Carrier Nuclear Engineering Technical Assistant to the Deputy Director; Joint Staff, J-8 Directorate Washington D.C. as a Defense Resource Manager in the Program and Budget Analysis Division (PBAD).
CDR Trent’s additional education includes the Navy’s Nuclear Power Training Program, a Master of Business Administration in Finance from the Wharton School of Business, University of Pennsylvania, and qualification as a Joint Service Officer.
His personal awards include the Defense Meritorious Service Medal, the Meritorious Service Medal, and the 2009 Admiral Zumwalt Award for Inspirational Leadership.
