Commander Tadd H. Gorman
Executive Officer

  

From Jacksonville, FL. Commander Gorman graduated the University of North Florida with a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and was commissioned on June 14, 1996. He is married with two daughters.

Commander Gorman's department head sea tours include serving as Operations Officer in USS ANZIO (CG 68) where he was the Air Defense Commander for EISENHOWER CSG during a successful deployment in support of OIF/OEF in 2006-2007.   He also served as Operations Officer in USS BULKELEY (DDG 84) where he was the Air Defense Commander for the IWO JIMA ESG.  Prior to his department head tours, he served as CIC Officer in USS OKANE (DDG 77) and Strike Officer in USS OBANNON (DD 987). 

Commander Gorman's shore tours include Navy Post Graduate School where he earned a Master’s Degree in Business Administration focusing on Financial Management.  Following his department head tours, he served in the Navy Appropriations Office (FMB-E) as the Navy’s representative to the House and Senate Appropriations Committees on all Surface Warfare related issues and budgetary matters.  He also volunteered for a one year GSA tour to Iraq.

Most recently, Commander Gorman completed a tour at Navy Air and Missile Defense Command as Ballistic Missile Defense Fleet Liaison Officer to various operational fleets and worked very closely with the Missile Defense Agency.

Commander Gorman’s decorations and awards include: Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Navy Commendation Medal (five awards), and Navy Achievement Medal (two awards).  Additionally, he is authorized to wear numerous unit and campaign awards.
