Commander Russell Caldwell

Hailing from Johannesburg, South Africa, Commander Russell Caldwell graduated the University of Kansas with a Bachelor of Science in Political Science and was commissioned on January 10, 1998.

Commander Caldwell's department head sea tours include sea tours include serving as Engineering Officer in USS CHOSIN and USS O'KANE. Prior to his department head tours, he serve as MPA in USS COWPENS, CIC Officer in USS GARY, and Communications Officer on the USS THACH.

Commander Caldwell's shore tours include Navy Post Graduate School where he earned a Master's Degree in Information Operations. Following his department head tours, he served at OPNAV N3N5 and N51. He completed a tour at COMFIFTHFLT HQ as the Joint Fires Officer.

Commander Caldwell's decorations and awards include: Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Navy Commendation Medal (three awards), and Navy Achievement Medal (two awards). Additionally, he is authorized to wear numerous unit and campaign awards.
