Commander Bryan S. Gallo
Commander Gallo graduated from Florida State University with a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry and was commissioned in May of 1999.
Commander Gallo's sea tours include serving as Assistant Reactor Officer and Reactor Electrical Assistant in USS DWIGHT D EISENHOWER (CVN 69) where he completed two deployments in support of OEF in 2009 & 2010. He also served as Operations Officer in USS ROSS (DDG 71) deploying in 2008 as part of the NASSAU ESG in support of OEF. Prior to his department head tours, he served as Reactor Mechanical Division Officer and Reactor Propulsion Division Officer in HARRY S TRUMAN (CVN 75) where he deployed in 2003 in support of OIF.
Commander Gallo's shore tours include Nuclear Power Training Unit, Charleston where he served as Shift Engineer in Moored Training Ship 635. Following his department head tours, he attended the US Army Command and General Staff College in Fort Leavenworth, Kansas and completed the Army’s Intermediate Level Education/ Advanced Operations Course while concurrently earning his Master’s Degree in Engineering Management from Old Dominion University. He then attended the Joint Forces Staff College in Norfolk, Virginia for JPME II. Prior to reporting to ROSS, he served at US Special Operations Command in the Global Mission Support Center and the J-33.
Commander Gallo's decorations and awards include: Defense Meritorious Service Medal and Navy Commendation Medal (four awards). Additionally, he is authorized to wear numerous unit and campaign awards.
