Master Chief Fisher is a native of Newark, NJ. and a graduate of Irvington Technical and Vocational High School. He enlisted in the United States Navy in July 1988 and completed basic training at Recruit Training Command Great Lakes, IL in September 1988.

Following basic training, Master Chief Fisher attended Operations Specialist (OS) “A” in Virginia Beach, VA from October 1988 to March 1989. Upon completion of OS “A” school he reported to his first duty assignment onboard USS CORAL SEA (CV-43) “the ageless warrior” in March of 1989.

His subsequent sea and shore duty assignments include; USS SHENANDOAH (AD-44) May 1990 – September 1992, USS BRISCOE (DD-977) December 1992 – May 1995, Surface Warfare Development Group May 1995 – April 1998, USS DEYO (DD-989) April 1998 – June 2000, USS LA SALLE (AGF-3) June 2000 – June 2002, Afloat Training Group Pacific August 2002 – June 2004, Afloat Training Group Middle Pacific August 2004 – April 2005, Center For Security Forces Learning Site Pearl Harbor, Hawaii April 2005 – September 2007, USS FORT MCHENRY (LSD-43) October 2007 – October 2010, and U.S. SECOND Fleet November 2010 – September 2011, U.S. FLEET FORCES COMMAND (USFF) September 2011 – December 2013. While stationed onboard USS FORT MCHENRY (LSD-43) Master Chief Fisher served as Operations Department Leading Chief Petty Officer and qualified as Tactical Action Officer.

While stationed at USFF, Master Chief Fisher served as Fleet and Joint Operations Senior Enlisted Leader and was selected to the Command Master Chief program. After his transfer from USFF in December 2013 he completed the Senior Enlisted Academy (Khaki Group) Class 165 (Dean’s list) and CMC/COB school Class 127. He holds an Associate’s Degree in Business Administration from Columbia Southern University.

Master Chief Fisher’s personal awards include the Meritorious Service Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (third award), Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (fifth award), and Good Conduct Medal (eighth award)and various unit awards.
