Commander Kyle Gantt
Commander Kyle Gantt is a 1997 graduate of the United States Naval Academy. His first sea duty assignment was aboard USS Taylor (FFG 50) where he served as Communications Officer. His next assignment was aboard USS Vicksburg (CG 69) where he served as Main Propulsion Assistant. Subsequent sea duty assignments included Engineer Officer in USS Donald Cook (DDG 75) and Commanding Officer of PC Crew Charlie in USS Hurricane (PC 3) and USS Sirocco (PC 6). In his most recent sea assignment he served as the Executive Officer in USS GONZALEZ (DDG 66).
Assignments ashore included Flag Lieutenant for Commander, Naval Surface Force, Atlantic, Branch Chief for Maritime Operations in the Joint Irregular Warfare Center, and as Aide de Camp for Commander, U.S. Joint Forces Command.
Commander Gantt earned a B.S. from the U.S. Naval Academy in History, and a M.B.A. from the Naval Postgraduate School with concentration in Financial Management. He is a fully qualified Joint Service Officer.
Commander Gantt’s personal decorations include the Defense Meritorious Service Medal, the Meritorious Service Medal, the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (2 awards), the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (3 awards), and various service campaign and unit decorations.
