Commander Christopher J. Carroll
Executive Officer

Commander Carroll hails from New Mexico. He enlisted in the Navy in August 1995 and graduated from the Broaden Opportunity for Officer Selection and Training (BOOST) Program in 1998. After completion of BOOST, he attended the University of New Mexico, receiving a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and his commission in December 2001.

Commander Carroll’s sea duty assignments include tours on COMMANDER, DESTROYER SQUADRON FIFTEEN as Operations Officer, USS MUSTIN (DDG-89) as Chief Engineer, USS HALSEY (DDG-97) as Gunnery and Force Protection Officer, and USS RODNEY M. DAVIS (FFG-60) as the Main Propulsion Division Officer, Repair 5 Locker Officer, and Visit Board Search and Seizure (VBSS) Boarding Officer.
Commander Carroll’s shore duty assignments include Bureau of Navy Personnel Surface Warfare Officer Detailer (PERS-41) and Allocation and Statistics Branch Head (PERS-45); Commander, Naval Forces Central Command Bahrain Liaison Officer and Surface Exercise Planner.
Commander Carroll graduated from the Naval Postgraduate School, Monterey, California with a Master of Science Degree in Systems Technology in July 2008, and from the Defense Language Institute, Monterey, California with an Associate Degree in French in February 2009.
His personal awards include the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (four awards), Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (three awards), Navy Good Conduct Medal, and various campaign and service medals and ribbons.
Commander Carroll is married and has a son and a daughter.
