Command Master Chief
Master Chief Marcucci hails from Apple Valley, California. He entered active duty service on July 24, 1991. He attended Recruit Training in Great Lakes, Illinois. Upon completion of basic training, he attended Hospitalman "A" School in Great Lakes, Illinois.
Following completion of "A" School, he reported to Marine Corps Logistics Base Barstow, California in February 1992. Following his three-year tour in Barstow, he was selected to become a Special Amphibious Reconnaissance Corpsman. His first assignment as a Reconnaissance Corpsmas was with 1st Reconnaissance Company, 1st Marine Division, Camp Pendleton, CA.
Following the completion of “A” School, he reported to Marine Corps Logistics Base Barstow, California in February 1992. Following his three-year tour in Barstow, he was selected to become a Special Amphibious Reconnaissance Corpsman. His first assignment as a Reconnaissance Corpsman was with 1st Reconnaissance Company, 1st Marine Division, Camp Pendleton, CA.
In February 1998, he deployed with the 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit as a reconnaissance platoon corpsman. Upon completion of his deployment, then Hospital Corpsman Second Class Marcucci attended the Joint Special Operations Medical Training Center to become a Special Operations Independent Duty Corpsman. In October 2000, Hospital Corpsman First Class Marcucci reported to 1st Force Reconnaissance Company, Camp Pendleton, CA. He deployed in 2002 with 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit (Special Operations Capable) in support of Operation ENDURING FREEDOM. Upon his return in December 2002, he redeployed to Kuwait and participated in Operation IRAQI FREEDOM from January to June 2003. In February 2004, he deployed to Al Qaim, Al Anabar Province, Iraq where he served as the Senior Corpsman til September 2004. In January 2005, Chief Marcucci transferred to instructor duty at Field Medical Training Battalion, Camp Pendleton, CA . There he served as the Operations Chief responsible for training over three thousand Navy corpsmen to serve with the Fleet Marine Force. In March of 2008 Senior Chief Marcucci reported to 1st Marine Special Operations Battalion and assumed the duties as the Senior Medical Department Representative for Marine Special Operations Company – Delta. He deployed in January - August 2009 to Delaram, Farah Province, Afghanistan in support of Operation ENDURING FREEDOM. In October 2009, he was selected for Presidential Support Duty and reported as the Senior Independent Duty Corpsman at “Camp David” Naval Support Facility Thurmont, Maryland. April 2011 to May 2013 he was promoted to Master Chief and was the Command Master Chief at “Camp David” Naval Support Facility Thurmont, Maryland. He assumed the role as Command Master Chief onboard the USS Stout DDG-55 May 2013.
A graduate from Touro University, he earned a dual Masters degree in Health Care and Business Administration. He is also a graduate from the Navy's Senior Enlisted Academy and Command Master Chief/Chief of the Boat course. His personal awards include Meritorious Service Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (3 gold stars with 2 combat distinguishing devices), Navy Achievement Medal (2 gold stars), Combat Action Ribbon (1 gold star), Presidential Service Badge, and various service and campaign awards.
