Command Master Chief
CMDCM Randle is a native of Houston, Texas. After graduating from Ross Shaw Sterling High School in 1989, he joined the Navy in September and completed Recruit Training followed by Seaman Apprenticeship Training in San Diego, CA.
In January 1990, CMDCM Randle reported to his first duty assignment on the USS RODNEY M. DAVIS (FFG 60) as a non-designated Seaman. He qualified as an Enlisted Surface Warfare Specialist (ESWS) during the ship’s deployment to the North Arabian Sea and after working in Deck Division, he struck for the Signalman rating. He rapidly qualified as Signalman Watch Supervisor. In December of 1992, he advanced to Signalman Third Class, and made two more deployemts to the North Arabian Sea prior to his transfer.
In October 1993, CMDCM Randle reported aboard USS INDEPENDENCE (CV 62) as Assistant Leading Petty Officer and by December 1994 he advanced to SM2. During this tour he completed two deployments to the Northern Arabian Gulf and RIMPAC 94.
His next duty station was Navy Recruiting District Minneapolis, where he served as a recruiter at Navy Recruiting Station Capitol Drive, Milwaukee, WI. and as Recruiter in Charge of Navy Recruiting Station Waukesha, WI, winning the prestigious award of Large and Medium Station Of The Year.
Following the recruiting tour, in July 1999, CMDCM Randle reported to USS ROBIN (MHC 54) as an Independent Duty Signalman and NAV/ADMIN LPO. The following June, he advanced to Signalman First Class Petty Officer and was hand-selected as Command Career Counselor. During his tour as Career Counselor, the ship was awarded two consecutive Golden Anchor Awards. He qualified as Command Duty Officer (Inport), and Officer of the Deck (Underway).
In January 2003, CMDCM Randle reported to Center for Surface Combat Systems, Great Lakes, Signalman/Quartermaster “A” school as Signalman Instructor. Because of his expertise and experience, he became the Curriculum Development Supervisor chartered to streamline and incorporate Signalman curriculum into the Quartermaster Curriculum. Advanced to Chief Petty Officer in September 2004, he then became the Technical Training Officer for Quartermaster “A” School.
In November 2005, CMDCM Randle reported to USS CURTIS WILBUR (DDG 54) as Navigation/Admin DLCPO and Assistant Navigator. CMDCM Randle was advanced to Senior Chief in May 2007. While onboard he qualified as Officer of the Deck (Underway), and served as Senior Enlisted Watchbill Coordinator, Command Financial Specialist, Enlisted INSURV/Zone Inspection Coordinator, Department 3M Assistant, and STT/MTT Coordinator.
Following his tour, onboard USS CURTIS WILBUR CMDCM Randle attended the Senior Enlisted Academy (Class 143) from January to February 2009, and reported to Assault Craft Unit 2 as the CNBG2 Force Navigator, Operations Departmental LCPO, and CMEO. CMDCM Randle was selected for the Command Senior Chief Program in February 2010 and completed the Command Master Chief/Chief of the Boat Leadership Course in September 2010 (Class 10130). CMDCM Randle reported to USS HALYBURTON (FFG 40) in September of 2010 as the Senior Enlisted Leader and was advanced to Master Chief Quartermaster in May of 2011, and subsequently converted to Command Master Chief. After completing a very successful tour onboard USS HALYBURTON (FFG 40) he transferred in July 2012 and reported to the USS ARLEIGH BURKE (DDG 51) in August of 2012 as the Command Master Chief.
CMDCM Randle’s personal awards include the, Navy Commendation Medal with three gold stars, Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal with two gold stars, and the Navy Good Conduct Medal with one Silver Star, and various service and campaign awards.
