Command Master Chief

Master Chief Raniszewski hails from South Carolina and entered the U. S. Navy at Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, IL in January 1999.

He completed Advanced Electronics Technical Core and Fire Controlman “A” School in Naval Training Center, Great Lakes, IL and then reported to DD-963 Computer Peripheral Maintenance “C” School in Fleet Combat Training Center, Damneck, VA.

In June 2000, he reported to USS HAYLER (DD-997), Norfolk, VA, where he was advanced to Petty Officer Second Class and deployed three times in support of UNITAS 2000, Operation ENDURING FREEDOM, and EASTPAC Counter Narcotic Operations. In August 2003, he reported to USS HARRY S. TRUMAN (CVN-75), Norfolk, VA where he was advanced to Petty Officer First Class and then transferred to the Center for Surface Combat Systems GREAT LAKES in June 2004. Retrained as a Tomahawk Missile Technician and selected for Chief Petty Officer in August 2007 he then reported to USS WINSTON S. CHURCHILL (DDG-81) where he was advanced to Senior Chief Petty Officer and deployed twice in support of Operation IRAQI FREEDOM, Operation ENDURING FREEDOM, and 5th Fleet Anti-Piracy Operations. In 2011, he reported to Commander Carrier Strike Group EIGHT, embarked in USS DWIGHT D. EISENHOWER (CVN-69) where he was selected to the Command Senior Chief Program in February 2012 and deployed twice in support of Operation ENDURING FREEDOM. Master Chief Raniszewski reported to Military Entrancing Processing Station PITTSBURGH in August 2013 and was advanced to Master Chief Petty Officer in May 2015 where he served as the Command Master Chief until his transfer to PCU THOMAS HUDNER (DDG-116).

Master Chief Raniszewski is a graduate of the Senior Enlisted Academy Class 179 (GOLD) and is also a graduate of the CMC/COB Capstone Course Class 119. He has earned both the Enlisted Surface Warfare and Enlisted Air Warfare insignia, and is designated as a Master Training Specialist.

Master Chief Raniszewskis' personal awards include the Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (3 awards), Navy And Marine Corps Achievement Medal (3 awards), and various campaign and unit awards.
