Master Chief Parlett hails from St. Joseph, MO and raised in Central America and Virginia. She attended Salem High School and graduated in 1991. She entered the Delayed Entry Program in June of 1991 and attended Naval Basic Training June of 1992. Once completing Basic Training she attended Data Processing Technician “A” School in San Diego, CA, where she graduated in October of 1992. She has two wonderful daughters and a husband that make their home in Carrollton, Va.

Operational tours at sea include USS Emory S. Land, where she served as Leading Petty Officer; USS KEARSARGE, where she served as Leading Chief Petty Officer and CPR6, where she is serving as SEL and N6A. She additionally performed several floats on various units to include USS ASHLAND, USS BATAAN, and USS MESA VERDE.

Shore assignments include Atlantic Intelligence Command, where she performed as system administrator for various systems; COMNAVSUBLANT, where she qualified and stood Submarine Watch Officer; and Assault Craft Unit FOUR, where she was EKMS Manager, Information Systems Division Officer and Executive Department LCPO.

During her career, Master Chief Petty Officer has been awarded multiple Joint Service Commendation Medals, Joint Service Achievement Medals, Navy Commendation Medals, Navy/Marine Achievement Medals and various unit and service awards.
