MMCM (SW/AW) Wesley J. GradySenior Enlisted Advisor
Master Chief Wesley J. Grady enlisted in the United States Navy On September 21st, 1989 and attended basic training at Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, IL. Following basic training he completed MM "A" School at Naval Training Command Great Lakes, IL.
In June 1990, he reported to the USS Vreeland (FF-1068) based in May Port, Florida, where he was assigned to A-Division and was accelerated advanced to MM3. Onboard the Vreeland, he participated in Operation Desert Shield and Desert Storm and qualified Enlisted Surface Warfare Specialist. His subsequent sea tours include; the USS LY Spear (AS-36), the USS Monongahela (AO-178), the USS Oak Hill (LSD-51) and the USS Enterprise (CVN-65) where he qualified Enlisted Air Warfare Specialist.
His shore duties include SIMA Portsmouth, VA, Training Support Center, Norfolk, Va, and Center for Naval Engineering in Norfolk, Va where he qualified as Master Training Specialist.
Master Chief Grady's personal awards include two Navy Commendation Medal, seven Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medals, One Combat Action Ribbons, six Good Conduct Medals, the Voluntary Service Ribbon (For his works as the founder for the Tidewater Youth Organization) and various unit, campaign and service awards.
