BMCM (SW/AW) Jodi K. Myers
Senior Enlisted Leader
Master Chief Myers is a native of Bloomsburg PA. She graduated High School in June 1985 and then enlisted in the United States Navy and reported for recruit training in Orlando, Florida March 1986.
Master Chief Myers completed Apprenticeship Training before reporting to her first ship, the USS SHENANDOAH (AD 44) in Norfolk, Virginia, where she worked in First Division Deck Department. Her sea and overseas duty assignments include: USS DWIGHT D. EISENHOWER (CVN 69) where she was in the first group of woman to embark, and was the 3rd Division LPO, and was advanced to BM1. She was assigned to Pre-Commissioning Unit JAMES E. WILLIAMS in Pascagoula MS as Deck Division LCPO and then remained during commissioning and eventually becoming the Operations Department LCPO, where she held numerous of rating collaterals along with command collaterals and selected as Senior Chief Petty Officer. After leaving DDG 95, she received orders to NEGB, Guantanamo Bay Cuba, Detainee Operations where she was the NCOIC of Camp 6. After doing 15mos there she selected a GSA billet to CENTCOM FWD in Kandahar Afghanistan as the Team Chief for a Vulnerability Assessment Team, when she was also selected for Master Chief Petty Officer.
Her shore duty assignments were Sima Norfolk and Sima Little Creek; Fighter Wing Oceana working in the Tech Library (pregnancy tour); Norfolk Naval Station Brig where she served as a guard and then was selected as a Brig Counselor. During this tour she was also selected as Sailor of the Year 2002 and Selected to Chief Petty Officer 2003. In July 2010, Master Chief Myers reported to Port Operations as the Senior Enlisted Advisor, Naval Station Norfolk, VA.
December 2013 she reported to Assault Craft Unit Two and was then requested by Naval Beach Group 2 to serve as the Senior Enlisted Advisor, where she currently serves today.
Along with multiple unit and campaign awards, Master Chief Myers personal awards include; Meritorious Service Medal, Joint Service Commendation Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (3 awards), Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (7 awards). She is qualified as Enlisted Surface Warfare Specialist, Enlisted Aviation Warfare Specialist.
Master Chief Myers has received her Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice from Saint Leo University and is currently working on her Master’s Degree in Criminal Justice.
