CMDCM (SW/AW/IUSS) Sheila Langejans Command Master Chief

Command Master Chief (SW/AW/IUSS) Sheila Langejans is a native of Spartanburg, South Carolina and graduated from Spartanburg High School in 1985. Master Chief Langejans enlisted January 1987 and departed Recruit Training Command Orlando, Florida and as an undesignated Airman Apprentice.
Master Chief Langejans’ sea duty consisted of USS LABOON (DDG-58) as a Close in Weapon System Technician (CIWS), Commander Destroyer Squadron Two Strike Officer embarked with Carrier Strike Group Twelve onboard USS Enterprise (CVN-65), and Over the Horizon Supervisor and Weapons Department Leading Chief Petty Officer on board USS Vella Gulf (CG-72). During her career, she completed four deployments to the in Commander Seventh Fleet Area of operation, Arabian Gulf, Horn of Africa and Mediterranean Sea.
Ashore, Master Chief Langejans was assigned to Aviation Intermediate Maintenance Department (AIMD), Barbers Point, Hawaii as an Undesignated Airman, Naval Ocean Graphic Processing Facility (NOPF), Ford Island as an Oceans System Technician (analyst), Center Surface Combat System, Training School Command, Dam Neck as AN/UYQ-21 Data Display instructor and Commander Surface Forces Atlantic as the FORCE Non-Aegis/FORCE Strike.
Her personal awards include the Navy Commendation Medal (four awards), the Navy Achievement Medal (six awards) and various service and unit medals.
