Lieutenant Commander Heidi D. Haskins Executive Officer
Lieutenant Commander Haskins is a native of Sandpoint, Idaho. She graduated from the United States Naval Academy in 1998 with a Bachelors of Science Degree in History. She is also a graduate of the United States Naval War College, having received a Masters of Arts Degree in National Security and Strategic Studies and was a member of the Gravely Naval Warfare Research Group.
Upon commissioning Lieutenant Commander Haskins attended Naval Flight School in Pensacola, Florida until January 2000 when she re-designated to Surface Warfare Officer. Her initial sea tour was onboard USS THE SULLIVANS (DDG 68) as Information Systems Officer, Damage Control Assistant and Main Propulsion Division Officer. Her second sea tour was onboard USS RODNEY M DAVIS (FFG 60) as Chief Engineer. In April 2008, Lieutenant Commander Haskins assumed Command of Patrol Crew ECHO.
Lieutenant Commander Haskins most recently has served ashore as an instructor at Surface Warfare Officer School, Senior Officer Ships Material Readiness Course (SOSMRC). Previously she was Flag Secretary to Commander, Naval Special Warfare Command in Coronado, CA. She was also the Navy representative to Armed Forces Entertainment where she was a Resource Manager and Southwest Asia Circuit Entertainment Manager.
Lieutenant Commander Haskins has been awarded the Navy Meritorious Service Medal, Navy Commendation Medal (four awards), and Navy Achievement Medal (two awards).
