Lieutenant Commander Steven McCauley
Lieutenant Commander Steven McCauley graduated from St. Ambrose University in 1997 with a Bachelors of Arts in History. He holds a master’s degree in Executive Business Administration from the Naval Postgraduate School.
At sea, he deployed aboard multiple warships to include: Electronic Warfare Operator in USS WASP (LHD 1), Main Propulsion Officer in USS LABOON (DDG 58), Operations Officer in USS SIROCCO (PC 6), Operations Officer in USS ARLEIGH BURKE (DDG 51), and Operations Officer in COMDESRON TWO embarked aboard USS ENTERPRISE (CVN 65).
Ashore, he served as interim Executive Director of Ashore Safety and as a Safety Investigator at the Naval Safety Center. While at the Naval Safety Center, he served a one-year Individual Augmentee assignment to Iraq.
His staff assignment, he served as a Joint Action Officer for coordinating mission ready joint capable forces for the deputy director, Regional, Force Management and Future Operations (J-35) on the Joint Staff.
LCDR McCauley's personal awards include the Defense Meritorious Service Medal, the Joint Service Commendation Medal, the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal, the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal in addition to various unit citations and campaign awards.
