Master Chief Richard Feldman is a native of Baldwin, New York. He enlisted in the United States Navy in 1988 and attended Recruit Training at Great Lakes, Illinois. Upon graduation of boot camp he attended his rating schools at Great Lakes and became a Gas Turbine Systems Technician.

He has numerous sea service assignments with tours onboard: USS CARON DD 970, USS COMPTE DE GRASSE DD 974, USS HAYLER DD 997, USS SAN JACINTO CG 56 and USS MASON DDG 87. During his sea service tours he earned his Enlisted Warfare pin and Sailor of the Year for Destroyer Squadron 28 while onboard USS HAYLER.

Master Chief’s shore duty assignments include tours at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba and Key West, Florida where he served as commands Chief Investigator. He is a graduate of Trident University where he received his Bachelors in Business Administration and is a graduate of the Navy’s Senior Enlisted Academy (SEA 141 - Gray). Master Chief Feldman is currently serving as the Senior Enlisted Advisor for Commander Destroyer Squadron Two.

Master Chief Feldman’s personal decorations include the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (gold star in lieu of fourth award), the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (gold star in lieu of third award), Navy Good Conduct medal (gold star in lieu of fifth award) and various campaign and unit commendations.
