Captain Sean Anderson
An Eau Claire, Wisconsin native, Captain Anderson was commissioned through the Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC) at the University of Wisconsin in 1994 and holds Bachelor of Science degrees in Industrial Engineering, Statistics and Naval Science and a Master of Science degree in Industrial Engineering.
Sea duty assignments include his Division Officer tours in USS CARNEY (DDG 64) as the commissioning Auxiliaries Officer and later as the Combat Information Center Officer, USS RODNEY M. DAVIS (FFG 60) as Operations Officer, USS KEARSARGE (LHD 3) as Assistant Operations Officer and Training & Readiness Officer, USS KAUFFMAN (FFG 59) as Executive Officer, USS NITZE (DDG 94) as Executive Officer, USS BULKELEY (DDG 84) as Commanding Officer and Carrier Strike Group FOUR as Assistant Chief of Staff for Training and Assessments.
CAPT Anderson’s shore duty assignments include Tactical Support Center Sigonella (N3), Commander Naval Surface Forces Atlantic (N43 Directorate and Flag Aide) and U.S. Fleet Forces Command, Fleet Command Center Director (N31) and Executive Assistant to the Director of Maritime Operations.
His individual awards include the Legion of Merit, Meritorious Service Medal (four awards), the Navy and Marine Corps
Commendation Medal (five awards), the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (two awards) and
the Combat Action Ribbon.
