Senior Chief Petty Officer Carrie J. Raineri was born in Cuba, NY and enlisted in the Navy on Jun 21, 1995. She completed Recruit Training in Great Lakes, Illinois as an undesignated Seaman Recruit and in 1997 attended Cryptologic Technician Administrative "A" School in Pensacola, Florida.
Her duty assignments include COMOPTEVFOR, Norfolk VA; Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes IL; USS Mahan (DDG 72), Norfolk VA; Office of Naval Intelligence Special Security Office Norfolk (SSO Norfolk), Norfolk VA; COMNAVSURFLANT Special Security Office, Norfolk VA; COMSEC Material Issuing Office (CMIO), Norfolk VA; Fleet Forces Command, Norfolk VA.
Senior Chief Raineri reported to Fleet Forces Command as an undesignated Seaman Recruit in October 1995 until May 1997. In May of 1997, she was selected into the CTA rating and reported to Pensacola, FL for "A" school. She graduated as the honor graduate and reported to CMIO Norfolk, VA in September 1997 until 1998. In 1998, she reported to COMNAVSURFLANT as a Special Security assistant until 1999 when the Special Secuirty Offices in the region merged and created SSO Norfolk. She was part of establishing the first regional Special Security Office in Norfolk. She reported to the USS M ahan (DDG 72) as the Assistant Special Security Officer and Assistant Security Manager in June 2001 until June 2004. From November 2004 until November 2007, she served as a Recruit Division Commander and trained seven divisions comprised of over 600 recruits. She earned her Master Training Specialist and was awarded the distinguished leadership award for her performance. She reported to COMOPTEVFOR in December 2007 where she served as the Assistant Special Security Officer and earned her bachelor's degree in Security Management at the University of Bellevue. In January 2011, she reported to Carrier Strike Group EIGHt and is currently serving as the Senior Enlisted Leader and Flag Administration Leading Chief Petty Officer.
Her personal awards include the Navy Commendation Medal (2), Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (5), and numerous campaign, service, and unit ribbons.
