MCPO(EXW/AW) Alexandre Hebert 
Command Master Chief

A native of Houma, Louisiana, Master Chief Alex Hebert enlisted in the Navy in 1991 and served as an Aviation Electronics Technician prior to his conversion to Master at Arms. He is a graduate of the United States Navy Senior Enlisted Academy (Class 156 / Brown).

His first tour, SEAOPDET Oceana, he was an Avionics Technician aboard USS Saratoga (CV 60), USS Enterprise (CVN 65), USS Kennedy (CV 67), and USS Roosevelt (CVN 71). He then transferred to NAS OCEANA AIMD for shore duty. During this time he became interested in Navy Law enforcement and served as ASF for NAS Oceana Security. While performing Duties as NAS Oceana Security he cross-rated to Master-at-Arms.

Upon completion of Master-at-Arms “A” School he reported to NSA La Maddelana, Italy where he earned the rank of MA1. During his tour at La Madd he filled the role of watch commander and Security LPO: and was selected NSA La Maddalena’s Sailor of the Year 2002.

His Next command was as a Plank Owner at Mobile Security Squadron Two, DET 23, the “Rabid Dogfish.” While assigned to MSD 23 he made multiple deployments to 5th Fleet, 6th Fleet and SOUTHCOM AOs. At MSD he earned the POIC Small Craft Qualification and he was selected for promotion to Chief.

After MSD 23 he transferred to Center for Security Forces, Learning Site Chesapeake. At CSF he was instrumental in the development of the Navy’s Crew Served Weapons Instructor Course and Riverine RST and RCS courses. While at CSF he also deployed on an IA to KUNAR Afghanistan as a Police Mentor with a Provincial Reconstruction Team. He left CSF as a Master Chief Master-at Arms.

His next tour was to Riverine Squadron Two, DET 22 as the LCPO where he led the first Riverine Command Boat Deployment. In February of 2011 he was selected as Command Master Chief. He has served as the CMC for RIVRON TWO, MSRON 12, MSRON 2, CTF 56.7, and CRS TWO. Master Chief Hebert is currently serving as the CMC for ACU-4.

His personal awards include the Bronze Star Medal, Meritorious Service Medal Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (two awards), Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (seven awards), Navy Combat Action Ribbon, Army Combat Action Badge and numerous campaign and unit awards.
