NAVFAC Adak PUC

Canadian Forces IUSS Centre Halifax, Nova Scotia was commissioned 1 October 1994. The Centre was a joint Canadian/United States Navy manned and operated facility which replaced the IUSS capability located at NAVFAC Argentia. It was fully operational by May 1995 and was responsible for providing information to both Canadian Commander, Maritime Forces Atlantic and Commander, Undersea Surveillance. CFIC Halifax (Trinity) responsibilities were transferred to Commander, Maritime Forces Atlantic in April 1999, through which Canada remains fully committed to supporting IUSS with P-3 aircraft and ASW assets in the Canadian arsenal. Canadian Forces “Ocean Op” personnel continue to serve with pride at NOPF Whidbey Island.
