120914-N-TN558-206 WESTBROOK, Conn. (Sept. 14, 2012) - Sailors from Virginia-class attack submarines USS Virginia (SSN 774), USS Missouri (SSN 780) and USS Mississippi (SSN 782) tack and gybe on Long Island Sound aboard the 52 foot America's Cup training vessel 'Stars & Stripes' under the instruction of volunteer sailing captains from Brewer Pilots Point Sailing School in Westbrook. Sailors grouped together and split into two teams collectively to test their seamanship and navigation skills in a spirited "race" between 'Stars & Stripes' and the 48 foot sloop, 'Carina'.
