NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (NNS) Newport News Shipbuilding hosts the christening ceremony for the Virginia-class attack submarine Pre-Commissioning Unit (PCU) USS Minnesota (SSN 783). Minnesota is the tenth Virginia-class submarine and the third U.S. Navy ship to bear the name of the 32nd state. Minnesota completed her sea trials May 16.
