Senior Chief Oscar Veneszee was born in Quincy, Fla.  He joined the Navy in 1992, and attended basic training and CS “A” School in San Diego, Calif., and Basic Submarine School in Groton, Conn.

After the completion of CS “A” School he reported to USS SIMON BOLIVAR (SSBN 641) (BLUE) in Charleston, SC., where he qualified in submarines and earned the Silver Dolphins and remained onboard through decommissioning.  His follow on assignments were onboard USS MAINE (SSBN 741) (GOLD) and USS MARYLAND (SSBN 738) (BLUE) in Kings Bay, Ga.  During this time, the ship completed several Strategic Deterrent Patrols.

His first shore assignment was at Navy Recruiting District Pittsburg, PA., where he served as Recruiter in Charge and advanced to First Class Petty Officer.  After completion of his first shore assignment, he transferred to USS HYMAN G. RICKOVER (SSN 709), where he served as Supply Department Leading Chief Petty Officer and advanced to Chief Petty Officer.

In 2007, while assigned to Naval Submarine Support Center Norfolk, he served as the Administration Department Chief, Command Career Counselor and advanced to Senior Chief Petty Officer.  His follow on assignment was aboard USS NEW HAMPSHIRE (SSN 778) where he served as Supply Department Leading Chief Petty Officer.

Veneszee is a graduate of the Senior Enlisted Academy Class 169 (Blue) and the Command Master Chief Course Class/Chief of the Boat Course. 

In August of 2012, Senior Chief Veneszee reported to PCU JOHN WARNER (SSN 785) in Newport News, Virginia, as Chief of the Boat.

His personal awards include the Navy Commendation Medal (two awards) and the Navy/Marine Corps Achievement Medal (five awards).
