Command Master Chief, Tim Baisley
Master Chief Baisley, a native of Port Huron, Mich., joined the Navy in July, 1985 and attended recruit training in Orlando, Fla. Following recruit training; he attended Basic Enlisted Submarine School and reported to his first submarine, the USS Norfolk (SSN 714) where he earned his Silver Dolphins.
Master Chief Baisley's assignment included Staff of Commander Submarine Force, Atlantic, USS Hyman G. Rickover (SSN 709), Performance Monitoring Team, Norfolk, USS Oklahoma City (SSN 723), Submarine Squadron 8. In November 2006, he was selected to be the Chief of the Boat on board the USS Hampton (SSN 767). While serving on Hampton, he twice deployed to the Western Pacific and changed homeports from Norfolk to San Diego. In December 2010, Master Chief Baisley relieved as Command Master Chief, Submarine Squadron 6. He reported in December 2012 as the Navy Submarine Torpedo Facility, Yorktown Command Master Chief.
Master Chief Baisley is authorized to wear the Meritorious Service Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (five awards), Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (five awards), and various unit and campaign awards.
