- Lt. Cmdr. Brad Swanbeck

Originally from Huron, Ohio, Lt Cmdr. Swanbeck was commissioned from the United States Naval Academy in 1999, graduating with a degree in Mechanical Engineering.
Following nuclear propulsion training, Swanbeck reported to USS Asheville in January 2001 where he completed two abbreviated WESTPACs and a Depot Modernization Period. During his tour, he served as Chemistry and Radiological Assistant, Electrical Officer , and Assistant Engineer. In April 2004, Swanbeck reported to Fleet Anti-Submarine Warfare Training Center in San Diego as a submarine tactics instructor and N5 Director of Information Systems, and earned his Master’s in Business from the University of Wisconsin (Whitewater) during his tour.
In March 2006, Swanbeck reported to Commander, Submarine Squadron 15 in Guam for duty as Assistant Squadron Engineer. Following Submarine Officer’s Advanced Course, Swanbeck reported to USS Maryland (SSBN 738) (Gold Crew) for duty as Engineer in April 2007. During his tour, the Maryland Gold Crew was awarded Commander, Submarine Squadron 20 twice and the Omaha Trophy in 2008.
In January of 2010, Swanbeck reported to the Office of the Chief of Naval Personnel, N81, for duty as an operational research analyst and study lead. After graduating from Submarine Command Course, Swanbeck reported to USS Dallas as Executive Officer in December 2011.
