KITTERY, Maine - For the duty section of USS Helena (SSN 725) at Portsmouth Naval Shipyard on Dec. 25th, the tough draw of Christmas Day duty was offset by gifts from a business in their namesake city.

Group 2 Commander Presents Awards to Helena Sailors 

GROTON, Conn.– Rear Adm. Michael McLaughlin, Commander of Submarine Group Two (CSG2) presented the Navy Commendation Medal to a Sailor assigned to Los Angeles-class Submarine USS Helena (SSN 725) on Dec. 8. 

Group 2 Commander Visits High School Submarine Team, Views Their Submersible

OLD SAYBROOK, Conn. - Rear Adm. Michael McLaughlin, Commander, Submarine Group 2, visited Old Saybrook High School on Dec. 10 to view their submarine team’s submersible vessel that will compete in the 11th International Submarine Races in 2011.
