Autonomous Remote Biohazard Surveillance SystemMiniaturized remote system detects, analyzes, and reports the presence of biohazards using permanently deployed remote surveillance stations. Each station can operate independently and without human intervention for prolonged periods. Boat Capture SystemSSC Pacific’s Boat Capture System is a solution for loading a boat onto a trailer under substantial power in calm or rough water. The system has been successfully field-tested by the Navy SEALs. Compact Broadband AntennaA bicone antenna configuration that permits a device to transmit and receive over a range of 130 MHz to 9.0 GHz (capable of improvements to over 10 GHz). Dynamic and Autonomous Nodding LiDAR MechanismSSC Pacific’s nodding LiDAR mechanism dynamically modifies a LiDAR’s scanning range and nodding speed in real-time, allowing LiDAR data to be expanded to view a large area or condensed to view a small area of interest Dynamic Change-Point Detection (DCD)A method for detecting statistically significant changes in data with a wide array of applications and uses including medical data analysis, market-trend analysis and reporting, sales forecasting and analyzing, and system monitoring. Electroactive Polymer (EAP) Biaxial BraidElectroactive polymers (EAPs) are polymers that change shape when voltage is applied. SSC Pacific has developed an EAP structure that has decreased bulk and mass, and increased flexibility and local shape control. Enhanced Touch PadAllows users to manipulate the graphical elements of a graphical user interface and receive tactile feedback. Flexible Video DisplaySSC Pacific has developed a flexible video display that overcomes integration limitations by using single crystal silicon to form the electronics layer. Hydrogen SpongeA solar powered “Hydrogen Sponge” that generates and safely stores hydrogen gas for use in fuel cell and hydrogen based technologies without the use of fossil fuel energy. Light-Induced Mechanical MotionWith a bit of light and a simple solution of polymers, SSC Pacific has created a new and novel way to induce mechanical motion in the form of contraction and expansion. Microprocessor Power ReductionA pulsed laser method that allows the threshold voltage of a microprocessor to be tuned regardless of its physical dimensions. Microsensor Medical Condition MonitorA microprobe and microsensor system for digitally monitoring and processing patient data in order to deliver optimal patient care. The subcutaneous microprobe sensor measures tissue pH to detect shock and determine if tissue is viable. Motion-Generated Electrical EnergyDevice uses electrostrictive polymers to generate electrical energy from natural motion. Tidal Seepage MeterDevice measures tidal seepage over time and can obtain multiple samples per use. Ultra-Sensitive Low-Power MagnetometerA magnetic sensor using newly-discovered aspects of the physics of coupled nonlinear oscillator networks that deliver high-power efficiency and high sensitivity, at a lower cost and power than other magnetometers. Vehicle Void Detection SystemNon-invasive system uses laser vibrations to detect voids in vehicle compartments that could potentially conceal explosives or contraband. |
