Enable Information Dominance for our Naval, Joint, National and Coalition warfighters through research, development, delivery and support of integrated capabilities.
Our Vision: About Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center Pacific (SSC Pacific)
SSC Pacific will be the Nation's pre-eminent Technical Leader for Integrated C4ISR Solutions for Warfighters.
Located in San Diego, Calif., with detachments in Hawaii, Guam and Japan, Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center Pacific (SSC Pacific) is the Navy’s premier research, development, test, and evaluation (RDT&E) laboratory for command, control, communications, computers, intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (C4ISR). We provide complete life cycle development and support for military C4ISR systems — from concept to fielded capability. SSC Pacific is one of two major systems centers reporting directly to the Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command. Our laboratory settings, test beds and simulated operational environments offer working environments unachievable elsewhere. In San Diego, we are close to many of America’s top defense contractors, global leaders in digital communications and computing, world-class educational institutions and major Navy and Department of Defense commands. We actively partner with industry, academia and other government and non-government entities. The Navy’s Premier RDT&E Laboratory for C4ISR
We deliver integrated C4ISR solutions to our nation’s warfighters - integrating forces, platforms, and functions into coordinated operational capabilities. Our cost-effective solutions are optimized to meet total C4ISR systems requirements. Programs in navigation and applied sciences, environmental quality technology and assessment, marine mammals, robotics and physical security complement our primary C4ISR focus. Innovative research is encouraged through the In-House Laboratory Independent Research and Independent Applied Research programs.Systems Development from Concept to Capability
SSC Pacific provides complete life cycle development and support for C4ISR systems — from concept to fielded capability. Systems development and support includes basic research and prototype development through systems engineering and integration to life cycle support of fielded systems. Major programmatic and technical thrusts are directed toward merging advanced technology and systems into integrated C4ISR capabilities, primarily supporting joint C4ISR needs of the military. While most of our work addresses the Navy’s requirements, we actively support Marine Corps, Air Force, Army and Coast Guard programs. Other government agencies, such as the Department of Homeland Security, frequently call on our C4ISR expertise.Strategic Location. Worldwide Presence
In San Diego, we are strategically located close to many of America’s top defense contractors, global leaders in digital communications and computing, world-class educational institutions and major Navy and Defense Department commands. We also maintain a worldwide presence, with particular emphasis on locations in the Pacific Rim, where we have permanent detachments in Hawaii, Guam and Japan. We are also able to provide on-site representation and support for the C4ISR community — wherever and whenever needed.Inventors. Innovators. Integrators.
Our scientists and engineers rank among the nation’s best inventors, innovators, and integrators in a wide range of scientific disciplines. Our technical breadth allows us to quickly form teams of experts from within SSC Pacific, other government agencies, industry partners and academia.Unique Facilities
We offer unique laboratory settings, test beds and simulated operational environments that are unachievable elsewhere. Our facilities allow us to create large-scale virtual integrated systems to support architecture development, systems engineering, acquisition, training and fleet operations. Primarily located in San Diego close to our major customers, our facilities are integrated and networked with Navy and joint service operational users, and with government, industry and academic laboratories.Leveraged Capital through Collaboration
We actively partner with industry, academia and other government and non-government organizations. Through collaboration with local and national universities and research institutions, we leverage our expertise to develop mutually beneficial, cost-effective technologies. Technology transfer ensures that government-developed technologies are commercialized to serve the nation’s current and future public needs. Our partnerships include:
- The Department of Defense
- The National Security Agency
- Non-defense federal agencies
- State and local governments
- Universities, national laboratories and research centers
- National Centers of Excellence
