Second Annual Workshop on
NAVAL APPLICATIONS OF MACHINE LEARNING
The Second Annual Workshop on Naval Applications of Machine Learning will be held
13-15 FEBRUARY, 2018, IN SAN DIEGO, CALIFORNIA
The workshop is a three day event held at the Topside location of SPAWAR Systems Center Pacific in Point Loma. It will feature oral and poster presentations on technical topics including autonomy, computer vision, and cybersecurity. The workshop is unclassified, and we welcome participation from the Navy, DoD and intelligence communities, as well as from industry and academia. Full agenda coming soon!
There is no cost to attend but registration is required.

The goals of NAML are:
- To spread awareness of current machine learning research relevant to Navy applications
- To connect machine learning researchers with experts in Navy needs and requirements
- To build and strengthen collaborations within the DoD research community
Presentation topics can be anything falling under the very broad machine learning umbrella, including (but not limited to) the following topics:
- Computer vision
- Big data analysis
- Artificial intelligence
- Operational applications of machine learning
