Fleet Support

The Fleet Support and Training Office or FSTO is a staff office within the 41 Department. It is chartered with managing common and consolidated Fleet Readiness Management and Customer Support Functions: The projects and functions of the FSTO are:

  • SSC SD Fleet Support Officer (FSO) provides fleet liaison, CASREP tracking, customer support management and Interface between all Regional Maintenance Centers (RMCs), Type Commanders, fleet commands, individual operational units, and In-Service Engineering Agents.   • SSC SD Distance Support Office provides system management and technical support of distance support program for SPAWARSYSCOM Enterprise. This includes system administration of a web-based REMEDY Action Request System (ARS) for trouble call tracking for SSC SD help desks. In addition, responsible for bi-directional transfer of trouble ticket data between all SPAWAR echelon III commands and the Navy’s Global Distance Support Center (GDSC).   • SPAWAR Institute provides consolidated training process management for SPAWAR products. This includes oversight and management of Integrated Learning Environment (ILE) elements. Also provides worldwide Mobile Team Training (MTT) capability in conjunction with Fleet Readiness Planning (FRP) to enhance operational readiness requirements.
