NIAPS Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
The Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) Crane has been tasked by the Distance Support program office, PMW 240, to be the lead activity for the NIAPS process. NSWC Crane has a team of individuals who are standing by to assist anyone who wishes to have their product considered for inclusion on a NIAPS release. A product will be considered for a NIAPS release if the product owner can answer 'Yes' to all of these questions:

In the past, the Naval Sea Logistics Center's NIAPS Customer Advocate (NCA) team had been stood up by the Distance Support program office to serve as the customer's liaison and their main point of contact for anything needed related to NIAPS. Now, that responsibility has been passed on to the NIAPS Configuration Management (CM) Team at Crane. The NIAPS CM Team will now act as a NIAPS customer's:

The Distance Support program office does offer NIAPS Help Desk services. The help desk is located at NSWC Crane. The help desk can be reached by calling 812-854-4168 or 812-854-6384 or emailing the Crane Distance Support Help Desk. The NIAPS Configuration Manager (CM) can assist in identifying which framework or host products are part of a particular NIAPS version release. The NIAPS CM is located at NSWC Crane and can be reached at 812-854-8940. Another avenue for assistance is the Crane Distance Support Help Desk. NIAPS is managed by the Space and Naval Warfare (SPAWAR) Program Executive Office - Enterprise Information Systems (PEO-EIS) Sea Warrior Program (PMW 240). Sea Warrior is the single IT acquisition agent for non-tactical business operations addressing manpower, personnel, training and education capability gaps, legacy systems and Distance support.
