When in homeport, NMCB ONE is located at the Naval Construction Battalion Center, Gulfport, Mississippi. NCBC Gulfport covers 1,098 acres of land, and has a population of 3,574 military and 799 civilian employees. Located near downtown Gulfport on the Mississippi Gulf Coast, the Seabee Center enjoys mild winters and humid summers. The Mississippi Gulf Coast has an average temperature in January of 60 degrees during the day and 40 degrees during the early morning hours. July is one of the hottest months of the year, with daytime temperatures ranging from 80 to 100 degrees and early morning lows in the 70's. During the summer the daily humidity ranges from 60 to 90 percent.

If you are reporting to NMCB ONE, you will be assigned a sponsor who can answer many of the specific questions you may have about the command and the surrounding area.
