LCDR John A. Evans
Navy Cargo Handling Battalion One
LCDR Evans is a native of Pensacola, FL. He graduated from Florida State University in 1998 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Management Information Systems and a minor in English. He was commissioned in April of 1999 and served as an Active Duty Supply Officer until 2005 when he became a drilling Reservist. He then transitioned from a 3105 designator in the Reserve Component to a 3107 designator in 2009, to join the Full Time Support (FTS) program. He obtained his JPME qualification from the Air Command and Staff College and is currently completing his Masters degree in National Security Studies.
LCDR Evans’ assignments included: Assistant Supply Officer Naval Mobile Construction Battalion FORTY, Port Hueneme, CA; Supply Officer Navy Recruiting Orientation Unit, Pensacola, FL; Supply Officer Mobile Undersea Warfare Unit 212, Gulfport, MS; Executive Officer Cargo Handling Battalion THIRTEEN, Gulfport, MS; Assistant Supply Officer for Al Asad Air Base in Al Anbar Province, Iraq; Supply Officer for USS STOCKDALE (DDG-106); and is currently the Executive Officer at Navy Cargo Handling Battalion ONE in Williamsburg, VA.
LCDR Evans’ personal decorations include the Seabee Combat Warfare Officer qualification, the Fleet Marine Force Officer qualification, the Surface Warfare Supply Corps Officer qualification, the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (five awards), the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (two awards), the Expert Rifleman Medal, the Expert Pistol Medal, and various campaign and service awards.
