RDML Keith M. Jones

Rear Adm. Keith Jones, a native of Ferriday, Louisiana, earned a bachelor's degree from Louisiana State University and a master's degree from California State University Bakersfield. Jones was commissioned through Officer Candidate School in 1984.

Jones completed courses and seminars at the Naval War College, National Defense University, Air Force Institute of Technology and the University of North Carolina Kenan-Flagler Business School. Jones has previously served on the Secretary of the Navy's National Naval Reserve Policy Board and the Chief of the Supply Corps' Diversity Council. Jones is the first-ever Supply Corps reserve officer to receive the Vice Admiral Robert F. Batchelder Award for excellence in operational logistics support.

Jones' command assignments include Navy Overseas Air Cargo Terminal E208; Navy Cargo Handling Battalion SIX; Fleet and Industrial Supply Center Norfolk Detachment 206; Commander Naval Air Forces Atlantic Supply 1086; Defense Logistics Agency Distribution Operations Team-Atlanta and Commander U.S. Pacific Fleet Logistics Readiness Center Headquarters 120.

Jones served active duty aboard USS Enterprise (CVN 65) and has completed reserve staff tours at Naval Supply Center Oakland, Naval Mobile Construction Battalion SEVENTEEN; Freight Terminal Unit B211, FIRST Naval Construction Regiment; Commander, Naval Expeditionary Logistics Support Force; Naval Reserve Readiness Command Mid-Atlantic; and FIRST Naval Construction Division and Commander, Navy Expeditionary Logistics Support Group.

Jones was recalled to active duty at Commander, Joint Task Force Southwest Asia, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and to Commander, United States Naval Forces Central Command in Bahrain in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.  Jones was mobilized in a dual-hatted role as commander, Navy Expeditionary Logistics Support Group Forward MIKE and commander, U.S. 5th Fleet Task Group 56.3 at Camp Arifjan, Kuwait, in support of Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan and the final U.S. drawdown from Iraq in Operation New Dawn.

Jones is a qualified Seabee combat warfare officer. Jones' personal awards include the Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Meritorious Service Medal (four awards), Navy Commendation Medal (four awards), Joint Service Achievement Medal and Navy Achievement Medal, and various unit, campaign and service awards.
