Master Chief Mulholland joined the Navy on 20 July 1983 and completed Recruit Training in San Diego, California.
Master Chief Mulholland is presently assigned as Command Master Chief of FIRST Naval Construction Division.
He has served as the Command Master Chief of NMCB FIVE, the Command Master Chief of the Center for Seabees and Facilities Engineering, Command Master Chief of the THIRTY-FIRST Seabee Readiness Group and Command Master Chief of the THIRTIETH Naval Construction Regiment (Rear).
His previous duty assignments include: Public Works Department Argentia, Newfoundland; Naval Mobile Construction Battalion SEVEN; USS Constitution; NATO Satellite Ground Terminal Keflavik, Iceland; Naval Computer and Telecommunications Area Master Station Naples, Italy; Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, Illinois; Naval Mobile Construction Battalion FIVE, Port Hueneme, California; Naval Construction Training Center Detachment; Sheppard Air Force Base, Texas, and Facilities Engineering Command, Washington, DC.
His awards include the Meritorious Service Medal (Gold Star), Navy Commendation Medal (Four Gold Stars) Joint Service Achievement Medal, Navy Achievement Medal (Gold Star), He earned qualifications as Seabee Combat Warfare Specialist and Master Training Specialist.
He is a graduate of the Senior Enlisted Academy, Class 83 and earned a Bachelors of Science in Occupational Education, from Wayland Baptist University.
