CDR Lengkeek assumed duties as Commanding Officer NMCB FOUR in June of 2014.
After graduating with a Bachelors of Science degree from The Pennsylvania State University in Dec 1995, CDR Lengkeek was commissioned an Ensign via Officer Candidate School and subsequently assigned to Naval Air Station Lemoore, CA where he served as Assistant Resident Officer in Charge of Construction. In 1998, he transferred to Naval Support Facility Diego Garcia in the British Indian Ocean Territory (BIOT) where he served as the Public Works Department Shops Engineer. In 2000, he transferred to Naval Mobile Construction Battalion THREE where he deployed as Officer-in-Charge of Detachment Hawaii during the Pacific Deployment and Assistant Operations Officer(S3A) during the European Deployment. He then deployed as the Seabee Liaison Officer in support of Joint Task Force 510 in Zamboanga, Philippines from April-July 2002. In August 2002 he reported as the Flag Aide to the Commander FIRST Naval Construction Division where he deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. He followed with Duty Under Instruction at Stanford University. In June 2004, CDR Lengkeek was assigned as the Program Management Officer at Naval Station Rota Spain. During that assignment, he deployed as an Individual Augmentee to Camp Lemonnier, Djibouti as the Public Works Officer. In 2006 following his deployment to Africa, he reported to Commander Navy Installations Command(CNIC) in Washington, DC as the budget execution officer for the Sustainment Restoration and Modernization Program. While in that assignment he served on the OPNAV N46 Shore Investment Strategy Task Force developing the CNO�s Shore Investment Strategic Guidance. In 2008 he reported as Operations Officer(S3) at Amphibious Construction Battalion ONE in San Diego, CA where he executed missions in the CENTCOM and PACOM AORs. In July of 2010 he reported to Naval Facilities Engineering Command Southwest serving as the Public Works Officer at Naval Base San Diego supporting the Navy�s premier west coast fleet support installation. He was then assigned to the Navy Office of Legislative Affairs in Washington, DC from Aug 2012 to April 2014.
CDR Lengkeek holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from The Pennsylvania State University and a Master of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Stanford University.
CDR Lengkeek is a registered Professional Engineer (civil) in the state of Pennsylvania. He is a qualified Seabee Combat Warfare Officer, a DAWIA Level III warranted contracting officer and a member of the Acquisition Professional Corps. His personal decorations include the Meritorious Service Medal(4), Joint Service Commendation Medal, Navy Marine Corps Commendation Medal (4 with �V� device), and the Navy Marine Corps Achievement Medal(2) and Combat Action Ribbon.
