With nearly forty years of commissioned service, and as the only Naval Construction Force Reserve Regiment to be recalled to active service in support of Operation Desert Shield and Desert Storm, the regiment has earned the reputation as the "go to" Seabees.
As the Commander, with the assistance of a professional and highly motivated staff, I exercise command and control over NMCB 14 (headquartered (HQ) at NAS Jacksonville, FL), NMCB 23 (HQ at Fort Belvoir, VA), and NMCB 24 (HQ at Redstone Arsenal, AL). I report to the Commander, FIRST Naval Construction Division (HQ at JEB, Little Creek, VA).
