Welcome to the FIRST Naval Construction Regiment, “The BIG ONE”. We are located in Port Hueneme, California on Naval Base Ventura County. The FIRST Naval Construction Regiment has over 45 years of commissioned service and has earned a positive reputation for innovation, responsiveness and accomplishment. During peacetime, we exercise command and control over three commissioned Naval Construction Force (NCF) units; three battalions – NMCB 17 (Fort Carson CO), NMCB 18 (Fort Lewis WA), NMCB-22 (Fort Worth TX) and the only Naval Construction Force Support Unit – NCFSU 2 (Port Hueneme CA). Most recently, the FIRST Naval Construction Regiment played a vital role in Operations Enduring Freedom and Iraqi Freedom. We are proud to serve as a crucial element of the FIRST Naval Construction Division (Little Creek VA) and an integral part of the Navy’s Sea Strike mission.
