CMDCM Terry Owens 

Master Chief Owens is a native of Birmingham, AL.  He attended Tarrant High School where he graduated in 1986.  He enlisted in the Navy Delayed Entry Program in June 1986 and reported to Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, IL in January 1987.   In March 1987, he reported to Naval Technical Training Center Meridian, MS for Aviation Maintenance Administrationman “A” School.

His duty assignments include VAW-114 Naval Air Station Miramar, CA, embarked onboard the U.S.S. Carl Vinson CVN-70; Commander Naval Reserve Recruiting Command Detachment Four, assigned to Naval and Marine Corps Reserve Center Bessemer, AL; VR-54 NAS JRB New Orleans, LA; Commander Naval Air Reserve Force, New Orleans, LA; VP-94 NAS JRB New Orleans, LA; AIMD NAS JRB Willow Grove, PA, VR-59 NAS JRB Fort Worth, TX and VR-54 NAS JRB New Orleans, LA.

Master Chief Owens earned his Enlisted Aviation Warfare Qualification in February 1998.  His personal awards include the Meritorious Service Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal, Meritorious Unit Commendation, Good Conduct Medal, Navy Reserve Meritorious Service Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Armed Forces Service Medal, Military Outstanding Volunteer Service Medal and Armed Forces Reserve Medal.

Master Chief Owens is a graduate of the Senior Enlisted Academy and the Command Master Chief/Chief of the Boat Course and is currently serving as the VR-54 Command Master Chief.
