Navy Knowledge Online (NKO) Accessible e-Learning

As part of your mobilization process, you are required to complete a series of courses on Navy Knowledge Online before leaving your parent command or NOSC.

From the NKO main page:

  • Select "Navy e-Learning>Online Courses" in the LEARNING Menu
  • Scroll down to Mandatory Training under FOR ALL INDIVIDUAL AUGMENTEES
  • Select "Individual Augmentee Prerequisite Training"

Don’t forget to print out the completion certificates at the end of each course and bring them with you. You will need these as you proceed through the IA process (NMPS, Army Training sites, and deployment locations).

If you experience problems with e-learning courses, please check with your ADP department to make sure the problem is not originating from your log on. If that is not the problem, call the NKO Helpdesk to ensure that your computer is configured correctly to allow you access to successfully complete the courses and print out the certificates.

Pre-Deployment Afghanistan Reading List

IA Sailors enroute Afghanistan should review the Pre-Deployment Afghanistan Reading List and accomplish as much of the reading requirements as possible. This reading list, provided by General J. N. Mattis, Commander, U.S. Joint Forces Command, prepares IA's for the critical mission of successful interface with Afghanistan citizens. Commands sourcing IA's should procure reading material as necessary.
