        CNO's "Direction Regarding the Continuing Resolution and Sequestration" guidance (25 Jan 2013) has prompted USFF to cancel the CIAC Orientation scheduled for 07Feb 2013 at NAS Jacksonville.  The remainder of the 2nd Quarter sessions have been cancelled and the 3rd and 4th Quarter sessions are TBD.  Updates to the schedule will be provided here as soon as the information is available.

        NFAAS CIAC DCO Training for 31 Jan 2013 will continue.  For the available times, go to NFAAS and select "Online Training" for the scheduled times.  This is extremely valuable training for all CIACs!

        A revised Expeditionary Screening Checklist, NAVPERS 1300-22 (Revision 08-2012), has been added to the website. For many deplorers that have already begun processing with Revision 12-2011, a 60 day transition period is in effect where Revision 12-2011 will remain acceptable. This transition period ends 09 Oct 2012 and Revision 08-2012 will only be accepted.

        Electronic Leave and Earnings Statement Policy

        Effective September 30, 2011, the Under Secretary of Defense Comptroller issued a memo directing Defense Finance and Accounting Service (DFAS) to turn off hard copy mailings of Leave and Earnings Statements (LES) to all military members (and non-bargaining civilians) based on the DoD Efficiency Task Force selection of the electronic LES (eLES) as an opportunity for DFAS to increase savings. The eLES is offered to Department of Navy employees through the myPay system. In the event the electronic standard causes a hardship, individuals retain the ability to turn on hard copy LES delivery in myPay. For additional information, see the joint memo from the Assistant Secretary of the Navy (Financial Management and Comptroller) and the Assistant Secretary of the Navy (Manpower and Reserve Affairs).

        • Afghanistan Language Requirement - RAPPORT Dari, CLREC-RDARI-0001, is a new requirement for all Afghanistan-bound personnel. This course is available on NKO eLearning in the IA Prerequisite Training course list. IA Sailors must bring a printed completion certificate with them as they proceed through the IA process (NMPS, Army Training sites, and deployment locations).
