Senior Chief Petty Officer Clifford J Dillard was born and raised in Montgomery, Alabama. He entered the U.S. Navy attending Basic Training in Great Lakes, Illinois in November 1997.
Senior Chief Dillard attended Operations Specialist Apprentice School in Dam Neck, Virginia., and his first duty assignment was onboard USS BLUE RIDGE (LCC 19) in Yokosuka, Japan from 1998-2001.
After a successful tour onboard USS BLUE RIDGE, Senior Chief Dillard transferred to USS Nimitz (CVN 68) located in Coronado, California, completing the ship’s post-Refueling Complex Overhaul (RCOH) deployment and earning his Enlisted Surface Warfare Specialist qualification. After his tour onboard USS Nimitz, Senior Chief Dillard transferred to Joint Interagency Task Force South, located in Key West, Florida in November 2003. Senior Chief Dillard reported to Air Intercept Controller basic school in January 2007 before checking onboard USS Theodore Roosevelt (CVN 71) in February 2007. While onboard USS Theodore Roosevelt, he was selected to Chief Petty Officer. In July 2011 Chief Dillard transferred to USS MITSCHER (DDG 57) where he was OI and OT LCPO. During this tour he was selected to Senior Chief.
Senior Chief Dillard’s academic achievements include an Associate’s Degree in Liberal Arts and a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice; Senior Enlisted Professional Military Education.
Senior Chief Dillard’s personal awards include the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (four awards), and various personal and unit citations.
